Around March of 2015, we started preparing a special edition of Parigami: Parigami Gold. The goal was to integrate Parigami with the upcoming Apple Watch, and at the same time, provide a premium version, with no ads and enough ingame currency to pay through all the levels without any extra expenditure.

On the Apple Watch, Parigami takes the form of a virtual pet, much like the original Tamagotchi from the 90s. By taking care of the companion, the player is awarded ingame rewards on the paired iPhone version, thus bringing an extra dimension to the game.

Because the Apple Watch was not released yet when we were developing this product, it was impossible for us to ensure our product would work on the upcoming hardware, since we had no access to it for testing.

Luckily, the kind people at Apple's London offices allowed part of our team, to travel to their offices and test our upcoming games on their hardware. During this test, multiple issues were detected, that we had not foreseen, and thanks to this hands-on experience, we were more confident, and able to deliver a robust product.
